Who is HANK and what is up with his JUICY BEEF?

HANK is the nickname of Henry “Hank” Tibensky -- mover, shaker, Italian beef maker.

Hank was born and raised in Oak Park, Illinois, the "epicenter of beef culture" in Chicagoland.  Surrounded by some of the awesomest Italian beef places in town,  Hank lived and loved the beef experience his entire life, as did his parents, grandparents, friends and out-of-town'rs.  In fact, Hank's family owned and operated an awesome beef and pizza place - Vito's - on Chicago's west side for over 40 years.

Building on three generations of family beef!, Hank has reinvigorated his family's old-school recipe.  After slow-roasting the beef, Hank slices it nice ‘n thin, adds savory Italian seasoning, and marinates it in his special au jus (“the gravy”). Hank’s Italian Beef is served hot and juicy on a freshly-baked French roll, with your choice Hank’s "hot" or mild giardiniera (pickled vegetables "from the garden"), and/or sautéed green peppers, (and perhaps some provolone cheese).

Hank's Juicy Beef is unlike any sandwich you've had, or more likely, haven't had!

So where can I get some HANK's JUICY BEEF?

We got our nyc beef legs at the Long Island City Food Festival, and then made our home at 84 Chambers Street (2015-2020) in downtown Manhattan. We loved the neighborhood, the community and had a juicy thing rocking until March of 2020 hit. While we no longer have our space on Chambers, we are doing pop-ups, catering and events in different parts of the city to satiate those Juicy Beef cravings!

Don’t miss our next event! Follow us on Instagram and join our Juicy Newsletter (email team@hanksjuicybeef.com)! We are doing regular events (see: Juicy Beef Parties), catering, and other pop-ups around NYC and tri-state area! And hopefully moving into our new digs asap!

Please follow us on Instagram, (and/or FacebookTwitter)!  We'd love to keep you up-to-date with what's goin' on at Hank’s!
